Domestic search demand here is thin. International buyer demand is not, and it is almost entirely in English. That distinction decides the whole strategy.
What is not small is the volume of English-language research from buyers in the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands and North America looking at the Algarve, Lisbon and the Silver Coast. They search in English, months ahead of visiting, and they are choosing an agent as much as a property. If your instructions come from that audience, as they do for most agencies we work with here, that is where your visibility budget belongs.
This is why Portugal gets one focused English-language page from us rather than a full market build. Doing less here, deliberately, is the right call until the domestic demand justifies more.
